From Personal Need to Professional Excellence
Our journey began in 2012, born from a personal need when Troy faced challenges in finding timely, quality pool painting services for his Buckeye pool. This experience was the catalyst for our venture, officially launching Holtrey's Pool Painting in 2018. Since then, our reputation for excellence has grown through word-of-mouth, painting close to 80 pools annually and becoming a trusted name in pool revitalization.
Older Pools require additional experience to protect the integrity of the pool
Many of the older pools require additional know how because they do not have the Head pipe that gives you the ability to pull the ground water out from under the pool before draining.
Starting from our initial project of painting a single pool, we have exponentially grown through word of mouth, a testament to the quality of our work and our commitment to customer satisfaction. Today, we proudly paint close to 80 pools a year, each project handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
Knowing how to remove ground water under the pool and proper cleaning to prepare the pool for Epoxy paint is the most important part of the job
Over 80% of the pools we paint are Buckeye Pools. They are Cement bottom pools with Fiberglass side walls. The cement is the only part painted unless the fiberglass is failing which happens when the pool is about 50 Years old.
Tnemec Company, Inc. a commercial paint provider is dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality performance coatings and linings for the protection and beautification
Removing groundwater effectively requires a comprehensive approach with specialized equipment tailored to different scenarios. Side-mounted pumps are ideal for drawing water under the pool, preventing seepage and structural damage. Additionally, having the ability to pull water from below the pool from the main drain is also important. Employing both types ensures readiness for various water accumulation challenges, maintaining structural integrity and preventing pressure damage.
Day 1:
Remove Ground Water, drain the last 4 feet of water, clean and prep for painting
Day 2:
Weather permitting, Apply first coat of a two part commercial Epoxy Paint
Day 3:
Weather permitting, Apply Second Coat of a two part commercial Epoxy Paint
Curring Time:
Epoxy Paint cures to a solid. Depending out temperature, you will start refilling your pool on the 6th day after the second coat of paint is completed.
Fill Time:
It will take aproxabmatly 3 days to fill with a garden hose. If you have well water, we recomend you hauling in water and waiting an extra day of cure time.
